Soccer & Rugby Imports was established in 1993. The store began its first 7 years in a retail strip center in Westport, CT. Since the year 2000, the Avalos family took over the business and quickly began to outgrow the space. In 2004, as the popularity of soccer in the area increased as well as the reach of the business, the store moved a mile down the street to Southport, CT. 2 more locations opened up in the subsequent years: Ridgefield, CT in 2005 and Greenwich, CT in 2009. After 6 years and many expansions, the Southport location was outgrown once again, making a move to a brand new (and present) location in a new building built to its specifications.

Soccer & Rugby Imports is proud of its continued success, which is attributed to its level of customer service. Since the first cleats walked out the store, Soccer & Rugby has worked tirelessly to promote the game of soccer to everyone at any age that has come through the doors, educating players, referees, and their families about the sport and the proper equipment.

As Soccer & Rugby Imports approaches its 20th year, it strives to maintain itself as one of the leaders in the soccer industry as well as a force online.
